Julien Pacaud

Julien Pacaud

Julien Pacaud has been a very influential in the way I work. I first came across his work when looking for inspiration for my A2 photography project based on “Space”. I find his work very refreshing and new, whilst still retaining a historical element.

Cleverly Juluen Pacaud has intertwined figures from our past with very modern/futuristic shapes and images. Playing with perspective, he manages to create surreal scenarios which evoke questions like; “Why does that woman have two arms?” and “Why did I not notice sooner”?. The playfulness in his work creates an immediate reaction, which is what I think make’s a picture into art.

P.s. If anyone wants to buy me a print, please do!
